HINES, Marvel Hay - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Marvel Hines of Perrysville, age 81, died Wednesday morning, February 10, in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Illinois. She was born at Gessie, October 18, 1901, the daughter of John W. and Hattie Hines Hay. January 18, 1919, she married Albert Thomas Hines, who died December 17, 1962. Mrs. Hines was a member of Gessie United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Perrysville Order of Eastern Star and Royal Neighbors of America.

  Surviving are three daughters, Doris Junkin of Ellettsville, Imalee Gebbink of Perrysville and Jean Howard of rural Covington; a son, Larry of Covington; a sister, Merle Smith of Danville, Illinois; 14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and three step great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with Rev. Richard Pippin officiating. Burial was in Hicks Cemetery at Perrysville.
